I retired on December 31, 2013 and wanted to do something besides reading, watching TV and playing Spider Solitaire. That led me to registering for a "Painting Still Life with Pastels" class at a local "community ed" program. The class consisted of 5 sessions in February and March. Since then I have been busy practicing and soaking up information from books and online. This is my most recent painting. I am going to use this blog to document my painting exploits.
